He was also the first film maker to be nominated for Best Director, Best Screenplay Writer and Best Visual Effects Supervisor for the same film.
‘TANGO CHARLIE’ (starring Bobby Deol, Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty) was a story about a soldier’s constant battle with his conscience. It was screened at several International film festivals and was included in Amnesty International’s list of classic Anti War films.
‘KNOCK OUT’ (starring Sanjay Dutt, Irrfan Khan and Kangana Ranaut ) with an anti corruption theme was extremely well received.
